Irit is the Director of the Oncology Division at Rambam Health Care Campus. Prof. Ben-Aharon had completed her PhD in developmental biology (joint program of Tel-Aviv University and the NIH), she is a medical oncologist that specializes in gastrointestinal (GI) cancers and serve as the head of the European EORTC task force of young-onset cancer. Prof. Ben-Aharon’s main research interests are treatment-related gonadal and vascular toxicity and young-onset GI cancers, conducted in her laboratory in the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, Technion.
